About Me
I earned an HBSc in Physics (Specialist) from the University of Toronto and am currently a Teacher Candidate at UBC. Fluent in Mandarin, Cantonese, and English, I specialize in tutoring high school and first-year university students in Physics, Calculus, Linear Algebra, AP/IB, and standardized test prep (SAT, ACT, SSAT, ISEE).
Besides work, I enjoy reading and music. My favourite writer of all time is the Argentinian writer Jorge Luis Borges. I admire his unparalleled creativity and imagination, much like the first time when I learned about the intricacies and wonder of the Standard Model of particle physics.

My teaching philosophy is student-centred, focusing on inquiry-based learning and continuous formative assessment to track progress. I incorporate educational technology like Desmos, Wolfram Alpha, and simulations to make abstract concepts more intuitive.

Free Consultation Session:
I offer a free 20-30 minutes online consultation session before starting regular lessons to assess students’ current level, discuss academic goals, and answer any questions. This also gives the students and parents an opportunity to interview me before they commit to a longer professional relationship.
Multiple Students:
- 2 Students: 1-to-1 cost + $20/hr
- 3 or more: 1-to-1 cost + $30/hr
Session packages:
- 5 lessons: 95% of original cost
- 10 lessons: 90% of original cost
Referral discounts:
For each additional 1-to-1 student referred, your next session will be discounted by 50%.
Cancellation policy:
- Emergency: No cost
- Cancelled more than 24 hours before session: No cost
- Cancelled less than 24 hours before session: 50% of session cost
- No-show with no notice: 100% of session cost
